{"id":2664,"date":"2025-12-29T11:50:49","date_gmt":"2025-12-29T16:50:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/1floridaadrc.org\/?page_id=2664"},"modified":"2026-03-19T13:11:09","modified_gmt":"2026-03-19T17:11:09","slug":"author-responsibilities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/1floridaadrc.org\/es\/author-responsibilities\/","title":{"rendered":"Author Responsibilities"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">All investigators using 1Florida ADRC data are required to:&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Include the NIH grant citation:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>\u201cThis research was supported by the National Institute on Aging (NIA) through the 1Florida Alzheimer\u2019s Disease Research Center (P30AG066506).\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure <a href=\"https:\/\/grants.nih.gov\/policy-and-compliance\/policy-topics\/public-access\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/grants.nih.gov\/policy-and-compliance\/policy-topics\/public-access\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NIH Public Access Compliance<\/a> by uploading final peer-reviewed manuscripts to PubMed Central (PMC) immediately upon publication confirmation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Notify the 1Florida ADRC via email (<a href=\"mailto:emilymatusz@ufl.edu\">emilymatusz@ufl.edu<\/a>) when:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A manuscript using ADRC data is accepted, published, or presented<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A previously submitted manuscript changes journals or status<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A publication appears on PubMed but does not yet reflect PMC compliance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-info wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Why this matters:<\/em><\/strong> Our team monitors publication compliance as part of NIH reporting (RPPR).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These reviews aim to ensure that:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All works using 1Florida ADRC data are properly cited<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PMC IDs are submitted<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nothing appears \u201cout of compliance\u201d in NIH RePORTER or in our RPPR submissions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your publication appears out of compliance, you will be contacted to ensure necessary updates are made.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Questions about compliance?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please email <a href=\"mailto:emilymatusz@ufl.edu\">emilymatusz@ufl.edu<\/a> if you\u2019re unsure how to properly cite the grant or notify us of a publication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Describing the 1Florida ADRC in Your Manuscript<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When publishing work that uses 1Florida ADRC data, we recommend the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Data source statement example:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u201c<em>This study used data collected by the 1Florida Alzheimer\u2019s Disease Research Center (ADRC), a consortium funded by the National Institute on Aging (P30AG066506). The 1Florida ADRC includes participants evaluated at sites across Florida as part of a multi-institutional collaboration.<\/em>\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When describing your dataset, be specific about:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The version of the dataset used (e.g., \u201c<em>data freeze through July 2024<\/em>\u201d)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Whether your data include Uniform Data Set (UDS) cognitive measures, neuroimaging, autopsy-confirmed diagnoses, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The inclusion\/exclusion criteria and visits used (e.g., \u201c<em>participants with at least two UDS visits<\/em>\u201d)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contact us if unsure.
